If you're falling short of reasons to be thankful during this season of THANKSgiving, the Bible has several reminders for us.
1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: God's Faithfulness - 2 Thess. 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 1 Thess. 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. God's Goodness - 1 Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. Comfort - 2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Psalms 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. Thanksgiving - 2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. Psalms 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks unto the Lord , call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Psalms 97:12 Rejoice in the Lord , ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Colossians 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Can you think of any more reasons to be thankful? Surely we can remember to give thanks for all this and more than on just a declared holiday! Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
